DCI Boss Amin Mohamed and the Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, reportedly received a bold letter from a State House official on Tuesday morning, stating that the President is not happy with their performance.
According to the letter, the two top security officers were accused of allowing former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to publicly intimidate the President without taking immediate legal action.
The letter reportedly demanded that Gachagua be arrested at once. The document further accused IG Kanja and DCI Boss Amin of remaining silent after Gachagua made controversial statements that allegedly targeted President William Ruto’s legitimate businesses across the country on Saturday.
Sources on social media claim the letter instructed both officers to resign immediately if Gachagua could not be arrested and taken to court for his alleged actions.
However, Kenyans on social media have reacted strongly to the claims, leaving many questioning the authenticity of the letter and calling the allegations “unverified.” Discussions continue as citizens wait for official clarification from State House and the police.
