Siaya County Governor Hon. James Orengo has launched a sharp attack on President William Ruto, claiming that the Head of State is afflicted with a disease known as kleptomania, which he argues explains Ruto’s alleged habit of misappropriating public and private resources.
Speaking on Wednesday afternoon, as reported by Kenyans.co.ke, Orengo linked the President’s supposed behavior to ongoing controversies involving former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju and the Nairobi Hospital Board.
“President Ruto is suffering from kleptomania, a condition that gives a person an uncontrollable urge to steal. This is why he is constantly accused of taking public and private resources from Kenyans,” Orengo said.
The vocal governor suggested that the accusations against Ruto are not isolated incidents but part of a recurring pattern of behavior driven by this alleged disorder.
Orengo’s remarks have ignited discussion on social media, drawing both criticism and support, as citizens debate the implications of such allegations against a sitting President.
