A woman, who is married to a police officer in Mombasa, has left many people in shock after publicly inviting any man in Mombasa county to come to her house and offer her security.
Her unusual request quickly sparked conversations on social media, with many questioning her boldness and reasoning.
In a statement, the woman explained that she feels scared to stay alone at home while her husband is away. She said she needs someone she can trust nearby to make her feel safe and comfortable until her husband returns.
“I feel unsafe when I am alone,” she admitted, “and I just need someone to be around me until my husband comes back.”
The woman went a step further by sharing her mobile phone number and the exact location of her home. She revealed that she lives in Mtapwa and expressed hope that a kind man would respond to her call for help.
To encourage someone to visit, she promised a reward of Ksh 10,000 to anyone who comes to her house and keeps her company. She said she would be very happy if someone arrives to assist her, explaining that her husband is expected back next week.
Her post quickly went viral, with social media users reacting with a mix of shock, humor, and concern. Some criticized her actions as risky, while others sympathized, saying that feeling unsafe when alone is understandable.
This incident has sparked a debate on social media about safety, trust, and the lengths people go to feel secure at home. For now, the woman waits patiently, hoping her unusual plea will be answered while her husband is away.
