Migori MP Fatuma Mohamed has issued a strong warning to Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, according to local sources.
In the statement that has sparked widespread debate, MP Fatuma reportedly said that Migori is “Ruto’s bedroom” and that no leader opposing President William Ruto is allowed to enter the county.
She described her warning as serious and claimed that any attempt by her political opponents to visit Migori would have severe consequences.
The MP went further, daring Sifuna and Gachagua, and said that if they ignored her warning and stepped into Migori, they would regret it forever.
Sources indicate that she even threatened that the two leaders could be arrested and taken to court within the county if they entered against her instructions.
However, her comments have triggered backlash on social media. Many Kenyans responded by saying that Sifuna, Gachagua, and every other citizen have the right to move freely anywhere in the country.
Critics argued that no individual leader has the power to block others from visiting any county, calling MP Fatuma’s statement an overreach and a threat to democracy.
The warning has intensified political tensions in Migori, as locals and political observers now watch closely to see whether Sifuna or Gachagua will respond to the challenge.
