A woman from Kisii County, identified as Anne, has opened up about a painful and shocking story of how greed led her to make a life-changing mistake.
Speaking during an interview with Tales Extraz, Anne shared how her desire to take over her late husband’s property pushed her into doing something she now deeply regrets.
According to Anne, her husband was a wealthy man who owned several apartments in Nairobi, Kisii, Nakuru, and Eldoret. She said she became overwhelmed by greed and started thinking of how she could take full control of all his wealth.
This led her to plan a dangerous move to silence him so that she could inherit everything alone.
Anne further revealed that her mother was involved in witchcraft and guided her on what to do.
Following her mother’s instructions, she claimed she used witchcraft to kill her husband. However, after his death, things did not go as she had expected.
She explained that during her husband’s burial, a shocking truth came out. She discovered that her husband had other children from a previous marriage, something she had never known.
According to their traditional customs, the first children from the first marriage had the right to inherit the property. This meant Anne was left with nothing despite everything she had done.
Now filled with regret, Anne says she wishes she had known the truth earlier. She admitted that if she had known about the other children, she would never have taken such a step. She is now living with guilt and pain, saying her actions destroyed her life instead of improving it.
