A woman identified as Tinah has shared a painful story after claiming that she was allegedly assaulted by a powerful Member of Parliament in a city hotel in Nairobi.
The incident, which she narrated on Saturday, has shocked many people online after she opened up about the experience during an interview on TikTok.
According to Tinah, she first met the lawmaker in Nairobi CBD. She said the MP asked her for a ride, and because she already knew him well, she agreed to help him.
Tinah explained that after meeting in the city center, the two later went to a hotel located within the CBD.
Tinah said that things later took a different turn while they were inside the hotel room. She claimed that the MP promised to give her Ksh 20,000 if they would spend the night together.
According to her, she agreed to the offer, hoping everything would go as promised.
However, Tinah said the situation changed after they spent the night. She alleged that the MP suddenly became angry and began insulting her. She claimed that the lawmaker called her a fool and started assaulting her during the confrontation.
The woman further narrated that the MP slapped her several times before ordering her to leave the hotel immediately, even though it was raining outside. Feeling confused and hurt, Tinah said she later went to a local clinic to seek medical help.
It was during the medical checkup that she claims she learned she had been infected with HIV. Tinah said the news left her heartbroken and deeply shocked.
Despite the pain, Tinah said she will never forget the insults and the experience she went through that night. Her story has since attracted mixed reactions online, with many Kenyans expressing sympathy and support for her after hearing her claims.
