Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Wednesday visited Mwatate Constituency in Taita Taveta County, continuing to drum up support for President William Ruto’s reelection bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
During his address, Kindiki urged residents to vote wisely, insisting that only President Ruto has the capacity to address the country’s current challenges and deliver on promises made to Kenyans.
He emphasized the importance of choosing leaders based on performance and development record rather than ethnic affiliations, sending a clear message about the direction of his campaign.
Speaking to a large crowd, the second-in-command told Taita Taveta residents that the Broad-Based Government arrangements are designed to benefit ordinary Kenyans.
He reiterated that Ruto’s government will fulfill all campaign promises before the next election, highlighting the president’s plans to continue implementing transformative projects across the country.
The rally saw residents respond enthusiastically to Kindiki’s message, repeatedly echoing calls to support President Ruto over ethnic-based leadership alternatives.
Kindiki concluded by asserting that given another term, President Ruto has robust strategies to deliver on national development, enhance social welfare, and continue stabilizing the economy.
He encouraged the electorate to back Ruto in the 2027 polls, emphasizing that the next general election is critical for securing Kenya’s future.
