Citizen TV Anchor Jamila Mohamed Reveals Four-Year Health Battle After Ninth Surgery

Celebrated Jamila Mohamed, a news anchor at Citizen TV, has opened up about a difficult health journey that she has been battling for the past four years.

The popular journalist revealed that during this period she has been admitted to hospital eight times for surgeries, as doctors worked to treat a medical condition she has been facing.

Undergoing Multiple Surgeries

According to Jamila, the repeated hospital visits meant she became very familiar with hospital staff, especially theatre nurses who assisted during the operations. Despite undergoing several procedures, she disclosed that the condition had not completely gone away.

The journalist shared that she recently underwent a ninth surgery, which she hopes will finally help resolve the health challenge she has been dealing with.

Message of Gratitude

Jamila shared the update through a post on her Instagram account, where she expressed deep gratitude to the doctors, nurses, colleagues, friends, and family members who supported her throughout the journey.

“For the past four years, I have been battling a condition for which I have been admitted eight times for surgeries… The last procedure (hopefully) has been done. I am grateful to the doctors and nurses who have stood by me all through,” she wrote.

She also joked that she hopes the next time she visits a hospital it will simply be to greet the staff rather than undergo another procedure.

Support From Fans

Although Jamila did not disclose the exact medical condition she has been battling, her post sparked a wave of support from fans and fellow media personalities online.

Many social media users sent messages wishing her a quick recovery and praising her strength during the challenging period.

The revelation has drawn attention to the resilience of the veteran journalist, who has continued with her career while quietly dealing with a serious health struggle behind the scenes.
