Breaking News: Another Popular Politician Involved in a Nasty Accident Hours After MP Johana Ngeno Died in Chopper Crush

The nation has been left reeling after two tragic incidents shook the country within just 24 hours.

First, the devastating news of a helicopter crash in Nandi Mosop claimed the life of Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno, his photographer, and four others, leaving families and constituents heartbroken and in mourning.

As the nation struggled to come to terms with MP Ng’eno’s sudden death, another alarming story emerged. Reports confirmed that Reuben Kigame, a prominent political figure and former presidential aspirant, narrowly escaped a serious road accident early Sunday morning.

The sequence of events has intensified concerns over the safety of public officials and national infrastructure.

Reuben Kigame, a well-known politician and former presidential hopeful, narrowly avoided a fatal crash on the Kapsabet-Chavakali road early Sunday morning.

At around 5:00 AM, his vehicle was forced off the road when the driver had to swerve to avoid a head-on collision with a speeding Easy Coach bus. The car eventually landed in a ditch, leaving Kigame shaken but unharmed.

In the aftermath, Kigame criticized both the contractor and county officials, as well as the highways authority, for the poor road conditions that contributed to the near-disaster.

This incident occurred just hours after the tragic helicopter accident that claimed the life of MP Ng’eno, his photographer Nick, and several others.

Families and leaders were gathered at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue to identify the victims when news of Kigame’s escape emerged, serving as a stark reminder of life’s unpredictability.

The back-to-back incidents have ignited a national conversation about public safety, with calls for stronger road safety measures and stricter aviation oversight.

Citizens and leaders alike emphasize that prayers alone are not enough to prevent future tragedies.
