A Nairobi-based sex worker, identified only as Sadra (nickname), has shared a painful story of how one encounter she claims involved a former Cabinet Secretary changed her life forever.
Speaking during an interview with Tales Extra on Sunday, Sadra narrated her experience in a calm but emotional voice.
Sadra said she met the client at Koinange street, Nairobi as part of her normal work. According to her, nothing about the meeting looked unusual at first.
She explained that she usually charges Ksh 2,000 per night, and when the former CS contacted her, they agreed on the terms just like with any other client. She said the night went on normally until things took a shocking turn after several hours.
In her account, Sadra revealed that after the long night session, the former leader suddenly changed his behaviour. She claimed he started abusing her verbally, calling her a “stupid woman” and accusing her of not caring about her own body.
When she asked why he was talking to her that way, she alleged that he slapped her hard, leaving her shocked and silent.
Sadra further claimed that the former minister then paid her Ksh 4,000, double the agreed amount. However, she said the money came with words that destroyed her peace. According to her, he told her that he had infected her with HIV, a statement that immediately pushed her into fear and panic.
She said the revelation made her stop working temporarily. Sadra explained that she quit the business for about two months and went to a clinic within Nairobi CBD to get tested, hoping that the man was only trying to scare her.
Sadly, Sadra claimed that the test results confirmed she was HIV positive. She said this marked the beginning of a very difficult chapter in her life.
Today, she says she lives with fear, emotional pain, and many unanswered questions, while still struggling to accept how one night changed her future.
Sadra’s story has sparked strong reactions online, with many calling for protection, awareness, and justice for vulnerable women in society.
