Residents of Nyachege village in Kisii County are still reeling after a man disguised as a schoolgirl gained entry into a home under false pretenses.
The suspect, identified as Kevin from Mongorisi, claimed he was stranded and needed a place to sleep.
Wearing a high school uniform, he introduced himself as "Sheila," convincing one woman to allow him into her house, provide food, and let him sleep in her daughter’s room.
According to the host, Margaret Moraa, the man said he had missed school that day and had nowhere else to stay.
The truth came out later that night when her daughter became uncomfortable and raised the alarm.
Neighbors quickly intervened, escorted Kevin to the local chief, and police were called to arrest him.
Community leaders condemned the act, warning that men pretending to be women endanger children and families. Jane Moraa emphasized that such actions are unacceptable and should be punished.
Police revealed that Kevin had a previous arrest in Keroka for a similar offense. Kisii County authorities are now handling the case as investigations continue.
