Residents of Nyeri County are in deep shock after a well-known pastor suddenly collapsed and died while praying for a sick woman.
Pastor Ezekiel Muhia James was known in the area as a humble servant of God who dedicated his life to prayer and helping those who were in need.
The sad incident happened on Friday during a prayer session. According to reports, Pastor Ezekiel Muhia was praying for a woman who had been unwell for some time.
In the middle of the prayers, he suddenly felt unwell and collapsed. Church members who were present quickly rushed to help him before he was taken to hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Speaking to the media, his brother, James Omalo, said the family is still in shock. He explained that Pastor Ezekiel had not shown any signs of illness before his sudden death.
“He was fine and strong. We did not see this coming,” he said. His unexpected passing has left family members, friends, and church followers heartbroken.
James also revealed that his brother strongly believed in healing through prayer. Many families used to visit him seeking spiritual help.
According to him, parents would give a contribution of five thousand shillings as an offering to God during special prayer sessions, and many believed they received healing through faith in Jesus Christ.
The body of the late pastor has been taken to the morgue as the family awaits further medical examination to determine the exact cause of his death. More details are expected to be released soon.
