"Please Help Me Kenyans, My Life Is in Danger," Sad as Man Pleads While in Hideout After DCI Start Searching for Him Over Alleged Defamation of President William Ruto on Social Media

A man identified as Victor from Bungoma County is currently in hiding after learning that officers from the DCI are reportedly looking for him. This follows controversial remarks he allegedly made about President William Ruto during a live session on TikTok.

According to a statement shared online, Victor admitted that he went live on TikTok and insulted the President. He claimed that two businessmen approached him and paid him Ksh 500 to make the abusive remarks.

Victor further alleged that the businessmen even told him the exact words and animal names he should use while referring to the Head of State.

He claimed the businessmen wanted to push the President to lower taxes so that they could benefit and get relief in their businesses.

Victor now says he regrets his actions. He pleaded with President William Ruto to forgive him, saying he was misled and deceived.

He also appealed to Kenyans for help, claiming his life is in danger. He asked well-wishers to support him financially in case he is arrested and taken to court.

His confession has sparked mixed reactions online. While some Kenyans sympathized with him, others questioned why he agreed to be used for a small amount of money to insult the President on social media.
