On Saturday morning, a well-known Nairobi pastor, Johnston Ntimokei Amasini, made a prophecy about Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna that left many Kenyans shocked and heartbroken.
The pastor warned that something serious might happen to the senator before the 2027 elections.
Speaking on social media, Pastor Amasini urged Kenyans to start praying for Senator Sifuna. He said that the events to come would be very sad for everyone who cares about him.
According to the pastor, God showed him that the senator could face detention and might even be linked to chaos during rallies, which could lead to jail.
The pastor advised that it would be wise for the senator and the public to pray. He also suggested that Senator Sifuna avoid taking part in rallies, as they might put him in danger.
“It is better to pray and stay safe than to be caught up in events that could harm you,” Pastor Amasini wrote.
However, many Kenyans reacted strongly to the prophecy on social media. Some criticized the pastor, saying that focusing on political predictions was not the role of a religious leader.
They argued that pastors should focus on serving God rather than making statements about politicians. Others, however, said they would follow his advice and pray for the senator’s safety.
