Edwin Sifuna Urges Kitengela Youths to Rally Amid Alleged Interference

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has called on youths in Kitengela to turn out in large numbers for today’s political rally, citing alleged attempts by opponents to disrupt the gathering.

Speaking during a church service ahead of the event, Sifuna urged supporters to remain vigilant and resist any interference.

He referenced a similar situation at the first Linda Mwananchi rally in Busia, where local youths reportedly helped secure the convoy, allowing the event to proceed smoothly. He credited Funyula MP Oundo Mudenyo for mobilizing the youth who safeguarded the rally.

Meanwhile, ODM party leader Oburu Odinga, alongside Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, Kisii Governor Simba Arati, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, and National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed, are set to headline a separate Linda Ground rally at Tononoka Grounds in Mombasa.

These parallel events reflect intensified mobilization efforts within ODM as party leaders strengthen grassroots engagement across the country ahead of upcoming political contests.
