Breaking News: Bad News to Oburu Odinga as New Details Emerge on Why His Late Brother Raila Never Trusted Him

On his X account, Kenyan advocate Ndegwa Njiru claimed that the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga did not trust his elder brother, Oburu Odinga.

This revelation has sparked reactions from many Kenyans who have been curious about the relationship between the two prominent politicians.

According to Njiru, even within the leadership of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Raila deliberately avoided giving Oburu key positions. He was never appointed as the party’s Acting Secretary General or even as the party chair.

This, Njiru says, was a clear sign that Raila was cautious about involving his brother in important leadership roles.

The advocate then surprised many Kenyans by explaining the reason behind Raila’s lack of trust. He claimed that Raila knew if Oburu were given any leadership role in ODM, he could damage or even split the party—a party that Raila had spent decades building.

Njiru also added that Oburu Odinga is a leader driven by greed. He alleged that Oburu had already “auctioned” the party to President William Ruto in exchange for government positions and personal benefits. If true, this would explain why Raila kept his brother away from any significant party decisions.

These revelations have once again raised questions about loyalty and trust within Kenyan politics, especially among leaders from the same family. Many citizens now wonder how Oburu Odinga’s political future will be affected by these claims.
