Bahati Beams with Pride as Son Morgan Becomes Prefect Days After Joining Lenana School

Musician and content creator Kevin Bahati has expressed pride and excitement after his son, Morgan Bahati, was appointed a prefect at Lenana School just days after reporting to the prestigious national boys’ institution.

Bahati shared the heartwarming news on social media, posting a video that captured his emotional reaction upon learning of Morgan’s sudden leadership role. According to the singer, the announcement was made during a routine visit to the school shortly after Morgan officially joined.

In the video, Morgan confidently tells his father that he had been selected as the Form One representative, a position that places him in charge of coordinating Grade 10 students and working closely with other prefects, despite being among the newest learners at the school.

A visibly moved Bahati congratulated his son, noting that the achievement carried deep personal meaning for him. He revealed that he never attended a national school himself, making Morgan’s admission and early recognition especially significant.

Lenana School, one of Kenya’s oldest and most respected national schools, is renowned for its strong academic culture, strict discipline, and structured leadership system. 

Prefect appointments at the school are typically based on discipline, character, confidence, and leadership potential, making Morgan’s selection within days of joining particularly remarkable.

Morgan earned his place at Lenana School after posting an impressive score of 68 out of 72 in the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA), a performance that secured him admission to the national institution. His achievement was widely celebrated by his family.

Earlier, Bahati and his wife, Diana Marua, had shared emotional moments as they prepared Morgan for secondary school. Diana openly spoke about the difficulty of letting him go while expressing pride in his discipline and academic growth.
