Speaking in Nairobi during a key meeting with other opposition leaders, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua issued a strong warning to President William Ruto.
Gachagua said that things would not be easy for Ruto if he loses power in the 2027 elections.
In a bold statement, Gachagua claimed that Ruto would not escape the wrath of the opposition leaders, whom he accused of being undermined, and also of Kenyans who, according to him, have suffered under Ruto’s leadership.
Gachagua went on to say that Ruto’s security detail would be withdrawn the same way it had been taken from him when he left the office of Deputy President. He also hinted that Ruto could face arrest.
Adding more, Gachagua warned that once Ruto is behind bars, he and other leaders will ensure that all money allegedly stolen from Kenyans is recovered. They also plan to make Ruto answer for lives lost during the Gen Z protests.
