Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka have urged young Africans to embrace purpose, resilience, and faith as foundational elements of leadership.
The leaders addressed winners and alumni of the Future Africa Leaders Awards during an interactive forum held at Omnia Towers in Lagos, Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of staying true to one’s values while navigating leadership challenges.
The session focused on overcoming self-doubt, recognising individual purpose, and appreciating that meaningful change often stems from small, consistent actions.
Uhuru and Kalonzo reminded participants that leadership potential exists in every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, and challenged them to use their influence to drive positive change in their communities.
The Future Africa Leaders Awards, founded by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, recognises and supports exceptional young Africans who are making an impact across social, economic, and community development initiatives throughout the continent.
