"They Thought I Would Not Vie for the Presidency" – Gachagua Starts Early Celebration Ahead of Supreme Court Ruling on His Impeachment Case

As reported by several reliable sources on social media, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has reportedly begun early celebrations after the Supreme Court announced that it will deliver a final ruling on his impeachment case this Friday.

In a statement, Gachagua revealed that President William Ruto and his team believed he would not contest for the presidency.

“They thought I would not vie, but after the court’s final ruling, they will be surprised,” he said, sending a strong message to his political rivals.

Gachagua also reportedly stated that following the Supreme Court decision, he plans to declare himself an opposition flag bearer. He emphasized that he is the only politician capable of challenging President Ruto and potentially removing him from office in the 2027 elections.

He further urged Kenyans to elect him in 2027, promising to hold President Ruto accountable for sponsoring his impeachment while serving as Deputy President.

Gachagua also mentioned his determination to ensure justice for the lives lost during the Gen Z protests, saying that electing him would serve as a way to make Ruto regret his past actions.

The announcement has already sparked reactions across the political spectrum, with supporters praising his courage and critics warning of increased political tension.

The Supreme Court ruling on Friday is expected to be a defining moment for Kenya’s political landscape.
