Residents of Sotik village in Bomet County are in shock following a tragic incident in which a man was allegedly stabbed to death by his own nephew after a family dispute.
According to a report shared by Citizen TV Kenya, the deceased, a 32-year-old man, was allegedly attacked by his 29-year-old nephew following a heated disagreement. Police say the suspect accused his uncle of cohabiting with his mother, an issue that reportedly caused tension within the family.
Witnesses revealed that the two had an argument before the situation turned violent. The suspect is said to have stabbed the deceased during the confrontation, leading to fatal injuries.
Senior police officers visited the scene and documented the incident as investigations began. The victim’s body was later taken to a local mortuary, where it is being preserved pending a postmortem examination.
Police have confirmed that the suspect fled the scene and is currently on the run. Authorities have launched a manhunt and are urging members of the public to provide any information that could help in tracking him down.
