Homa Bay County was thrown into shock on Tuesday when a woman, Marry Okoth Odhiambo, walked into a police station and made a startling confession.
The beautiful woman openly admitted that she had infected more than 400 married men with HIV, leaving police officers stunned.
In a detailed statement, Okoth revealed that over the years she had been involved with married men and knowingly passed on the virus. She expressed deep regret and pleaded for forgiveness.
“I am truly sorry for all the pain I have caused. I just want a chance to change and return to God,” she said.
Even more shocking, Okoth admitted that some of her victims were minors aged 17 to 18 who seduced her. Looking back, she said the list of affected people is very long and she wants to repent for her actions.
Police have now started investigating her claims to confirm the details and ensure that anyone affected receives support and counseling.
The case has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the importance of HIV awareness, safe sexual practices, and personal responsibility.
