Oketch Salah Breaks Silence Following Winnie Odinga’s Interview on Citizen TV

Oketch Salah has finally spoken out after watching Winnie Odinga’s recent interview on Citizen TV with Ivonne Okwara, in which she discussed him and their shared experiences.

Salah explained that his initial silence was not due to fear or lack of comment. Rather, he chose to remain quiet out of respect for Her Excellency Ambassador Mama Ida Min Piny from Migori, whom he described as a mother figure and a respected leader.

“Because of her, I decided to keep quiet. This was a personal decision,” he said.

However, Oketch clarified that silence should not be taken as acceptance of everything said during the interview. He insisted that some points were misunderstood or not fully explained, and it is important to set the record straight.

He reaffirmed that his accounts of his last moments with Baba were real and deeply personal.

“These moments were lived experiences, not stories fabricated for sympathy or attention. No one can deny the reality of my experience because I felt the pain myself,” he said.

Oketch emphasized that sharing his truth is not meant to attack anyone or disrespect family members, but to reflect his own experience with grief.

“Grief is different for everyone, and people should be allowed to express their pain in their own way,” he added.

He also appealed to the public to exercise patience and avoid rushing to judgment. Oketch made it clear that he will not engage in online arguments or exchange insults but intends to respond properly and calmly.

The former aide concluded by announcing that he will appear in an upcoming interview to explain his side of the story fully and transparently, offering the public an opportunity to hear his truth directly.
