As reported by reliable sources on social media, Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi has strongly supported President William Ruto’s Singapore narrative. Sudi defended the idea, saying it represents a bold vision for Kenya’s development and progress.
He also condemned those who oppose the plan, claiming they lack a real agenda for the country.
However, speaking in Machakos, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka criticized the president, saying he is embarrassing Kenyans by comparing the country to Singapore.
“It is a shame to compare our country with another. Kenya has its own challenges that need real solutions, not dreams of being like Singapore,” Kalonzo said.
Kalonzo also urged Ruto to focus on issues affecting ordinary Kenyans, such as unemployment, poor healthcare, and lack of basic infrastructure.
“The people are struggling every day. Leadership is about solving real problems, not creating foreign dreams that are unrealistic for our nation,” he added.
He further warned that opposition leaders would not allow any changes to the constitution.
“The constitution is clear. We will not allow anyone to tamper with it. It must remain as it is for the good of all Kenyans,” Kalonzo said.
The debate over the Singapore dream continues to divide political leaders, with some calling it a visionary move while others describe it as disconnected from Kenya’s reality.
