According to relatives, the elderly woman, who was a grandmother, was at home on Monday when she received a phone call from unknown individuals.
The callers reportedly asked her to step out and go to the roadside near her home.
Believing the instructions were genuine, she left her house as directed. That moment marked the last time her family and neighbours saw her alive.
Witnesses say that shortly after reaching the roadside, the woman was allegedly forced into a vehicle by unknown people and driven away.
When she failed to return home, concern grew among family members, prompting them to begin a frantic search in the surrounding areas.
After several hours with no leads, the disappearance was reported to the police, who launched investigations into the matter.
Days later, the family was left in shock after a disturbing development. The woman’s grandson allegedly discovered a handwritten letter placed at the door of his house. The note is believed to have been written by individuals involved in the abduction.
In the letter, the writers claimed they were sorry for the pain caused and stated that they had only acted on instructions from another person. They further warned the family not to send any ransom money, despite earlier claims that ransom demands had been made.
According to the letter, the individuals behind the kidnapping alleged that they had already been fully paid by the person who ordered the crime.
This revelation raised more questions and deepened the family’s anguish.
