Vocal lawyer and government critic Dr. Miguna Miguna has fired back at Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga after she questioned why former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has not officially mourned the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Governor Wanga had earlier reminded the public that even the late Raila Odinga once mourned Gachagua’s late brother, Nderitu Gachagua, implying that the ex–Deputy President’s silence was questionable.
However, Miguna dismissed her remarks as diversionary nonsense, saying that Kenyans should focus on real issues affecting their lives rather than creating political idols.

Miguna’s comments come just days after the late Raila Odinga was laid to rest in a state funeral attended by President William Ruto and top government officials.
The outspoken lawyer’s response has stirred debate online, with many viewing it as a bold warning to Kenya’s political class to avoid exploiting grief for political mileage.
