2025 KJSEA Results Out: Here’s How Students and Parents Can Check Instantly

The Ministry of Education has officially released the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) results, opening access for learners, parents, and schools across the country.

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos confirmed on Thursday that the results are now available through both online and SMS platforms, ensuring that no learner is left behind.

To check results online, users should visit the Ministry’s selection portal and enter the learner’s assessment number in the required field. Those without internet access can use the SMS option provided.

To receive a learner’s selected schools via SMS, send the assessment number to 22263. Each message costs Sh30.

Migos explained that learners will need their assessment number and one of their registered names to access the results instantly. He officially declared the 2025 KJSEA examination results released.

Education leaders also highlighted the continued progress of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), which is now fully implemented across all learning levels—two years in pre-primary, six in primary, three in junior school, and three in senior school.

According to the Ministry, the KJSEA serves three main purposes:

Evaluating how well learners have mastered junior school competencies

Offering guidance for placement into senior school pathways such as STEM, Arts, Sport Science, and Social Sciences

Supporting future planning by aligning each learner’s strengths with suitable learning paths

The CS added that the KJSEA summative assessment comprises both written exams and project-based work, with some subjects having two papers to include compositions or practical components.

Despite weather-related challenges in some regions, all registered candidates for the 2025 KJSEA and the Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment (KILEA) managed to sit their exams successfully.

The Ministry credited field officials and school administrators for ensuring a smooth process.

Migos expressed satisfaction with how the assessments were conducted, noting that emerging issues were addressed promptly to support all learners.
