Iran has reportedly warned that the Strait of Hormuz could remain closed until the end of President Donald Trump’s current term in 2029 unless the United States agrees to a series of demands from Tehran.

According to reports citing a senior Iranian source and Majid Shakeri, an adviser to Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran’s conditions reportedly include $300 billion in compensation, the release of up to $100 billion in frozen Iranian assets, and the removal of all U.S. sanctions against Tehran.
