For more than 24 years, Rosalyn Ferrer and Rommel Basco shared a life filled with hardship in Pampanga, Philippines. The couple raised their six children while living in a small shelter on an empty piece of land. To earn a living, they collected discarded plastic every day and sold it to recycling centers.
Most of the money they earned was only enough to buy food for the family. Although they had always dreamed of having a wedding, providing for their children remained their top priority.
One day, their lives took an unexpected turn when a local salon owner named Richard Strandz met them as they were collecting plastic. After learning about their story, he contacted friends in the beauty, fashion, photography, and wedding industries to organize a special surprise for the couple. GET THE FULL STORY HERE.
