In 2019, a young boy from Huixian County in China's Henan Province captured the hearts of many after making an incredible sacrifice to help save his father's life. Lu Zikuan's father, Lu Yanheng, had been diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a serious blood disorder that can develop into leukemia. 

After medical tests, doctors confirmed that Lu Zikuan was the only compatible bone marrow donor for his father.
