Shocking: Nanny Stabs 3-Year-Old's Granddad Over 40 Times With a Screwdriver While Mom Was Away; Days Later, Something Unexpected Happened

An ordinary evening turned into a horrifying tragedy after a nanny allegedly launched a brutal attack on an elderly man who had gone to check on his young granddaughter while her mother was away.

According to prosecutors, 35-year-old Samantha Booth was caring for a 3-year-old girl at the family's Michigan home when the child's mother, who was out of town, became worried after failing to reach the nanny. 

Concerned, she asked her 83-year-old father, David Ong, to visit the home and ensure everything was alright.
