A man identified as Mehdi Khanaki was reportedly executed by Iranian authorities after being accused of collaborating with Israel and the United States during the January uprising. 

According to reports, Iran alleged that he had joined an armed opposition group in 2023 and claimed that weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials were recovered from his home during his arrest in Karaj in February.
