Sisi Tumeisha Sasa: Kenyans in Panic as Villagers Take Over Burial of Ebola Victim, Touch Body and Chase Away Health Officials (VIDEO)

Fear, grief, and disbelief have gripped the public after a disturbing incident reportedly involving villagers who interfered with the burial of a man suspected to have died from Ebola.

According to reports circulating online, health officials who had arrived at the scene to handle the burial in line with strict disease-control protocols were allegedly chased away by angry villagers.

The officials were said to be enforcing safety procedures meant to prevent possible infection and contain the spread of the highly dangerous virus.

However, tension quickly escalated as the villagers insisted on taking control of the burial process themselves.

In a shocking turn of events, some individuals were seen approaching and even touching the body, despite warnings about the risks associated with Ebola contamination.

A video shared online, which has since sparked widespread panic and debate, appears to show chaotic scenes at the burial site, with a large crowd gathered and health personnel forced to retreat.

The footage has not been independently verified, but it has already triggered fear among Kenyans on social media.

Health experts have consistently warned that Ebola is one of the most contagious and deadly viral diseases, spreading through direct contact with bodily fluids of infected persons or contaminated materials.

Because of this, strict handling and burial procedures are normally enforced, especially in suspected cases.

Public health officials have repeatedly urged communities to allow trained teams to handle such situations, stressing that interference can put entire villages and even neighbouring regions at risk of outbreak.

The incident has now raised fresh concerns about awareness levels in rural areas regarding infectious diseases and emergency response protocols.

Many Kenyans online have expressed shock, with some calling for stronger community education, while others condemned the alleged actions of the villagers as dangerous and irresponsible.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the viral video or confirm the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

As the clip continues to circulate widely, fear remains high, with many calling for urgent clarification to determine whether there is any real outbreak risk or if the situation has been exaggerated online.
