Speaking during a Monday interview with one of the local TV stations, Sharon revealed that the incident was triggered by a long-standing conflict between her father and a neighbor, who allegedly wanted him jailed for life.
According to her, the neighbor approached her and offered her money to help execute the plan.
Sharon admitted that she accepted the KSh 350, saying she was financially broke at the time and even lacked money for basic needs like internet data. She then went ahead with the plan, where she entered her father’s room and later screamed, claiming she had been defiled once her father, who was reportedly drunk, walked in.
Following the accusations, the neighbor allegedly acted quickly and alerted police officers, who arrived at the scene and arrested the 66-year-old man. He was later charged and sentenced to life imprisonment based on the case presented in court.
However, Sharon now says things took a painful turn after her actions led to her father’s imprisonment. She revealed that her mother passed away five years ago, leaving her alone, and her father was the only parent she had left.
She expressed deep regret, saying she misses him dearly and remembers how he used to show her love and always remind her that she was his only daughter.
Sharon has now pleaded for forgiveness and says she is willing to go back to court and testify in an attempt to correct what she describes as a life-changing mistake.
