Speaking in a video shared online, the woman explained that she had visited a shopping mall in Nairobi to purchase back-to-school supplies when she unexpectedly came across a friend she had not seen in over a year.
According to her, the reunion was exciting, and the two agreed to spend some time together over a cup of coffee at Java House. After placing their order and settling down for a conversation, her friend excused herself, saying she was heading to the washroom.
However, several minutes passed and the friend did not return, leaving the woman concerned. Since she was also running out of time, she decided to call her friend's phone to find out what was causing the delay.
To her astonishment, the call was answered by a man. Thinking the phone may have fallen into the wrong hands, she ended the conversation immediately. Moments later, the same man called back.
The man reportedly introduced himself as her friend's husband before revealing shocking information. He claimed that his wife had passed away in a road accident and had already been laid to rest three months earlier.
The woman said she was left speechless by the revelation, insisting that she had been sitting and chatting with the same friend only moments before receiving the call.
Wanting to verify the claims, she checked her friend's social media pages and found posts indicating that the woman had indeed died and been buried.
Still trying to make sense of the incident, she reportedly asked a waitress at the restaurant whether she had been alone. The waitress allegedly confirmed that she had been accompanied by another woman and even described what the friend had been wearing.
Since the encounter, the woman says she has struggled to find peace, claiming she now experiences strange dreams and has developed high blood pressure that requires medical treatment.
The story has generated widespread reactions online, with some netizens speculating that the supposed death may have been part of an insurance fraud scheme, while others dismissed the account as a fabricated tale designed to attract attention.
