"Hatutaki Uniform Mzee Kwa Hii Shule," Sad as Grade 6 Student Commits Suicide After Teacher Allegedly Tears His Old Uniform and Exposes Him to Other Students

A sad incident has been reported in one of the schools in Kakamega County, where a Grade 6 student was found dead inside his room in an incident suspected to be suicide following humiliation he allegedly faced at school on Thursday.

According to reports, a teacher entered the classroom and accused the learner of wearing an old and worn-out uniform, saying he was tarnishing the name of the school. The teacher allegedly told him to go home and return with a new uniform.

The learner reportedly responded emotionally, explaining that his mother could not afford to buy him a new uniform, as she was already struggling to provide food for the family in the evening.

However, the teacher allegedly laughed and ordered the boy to step forward. It is further claimed that the teacher used a pair of scissors to cut and tear the student’s uniform in front of classmates, exposing him and subjecting him to embarrassment. Read The Full Story Here.
