President William Ruto has revealed details surrounding the appointment of Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi, claiming that the decision was not supported by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Speaking on Monday, President Ruto said he differed with Raila over who should be appointed to head the National Treasury. According to the Head of State, he strongly believed that the powerful ministry should be led by someone from the Luo community, leading him to settle on John Mbadi.
