Reports circulating online and in political circles claim that President William Ruto allegedly made bold promises suggesting a major shift in how Kenyans will access communication and financial services in the coming years.
According to the claims, the Head of State is said to have stated during a political event on Thursday that, starting February 2028, Kenyans could potentially stop paying for mobile communication services such as calls and internet browsing, with costs allegedly being covered by the government.
