On Tuesday morning, reports emerged alleging that the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has come under pressure from leaders aligned to the Kenya Kwanza government to move swiftly and freeze bank accounts linked to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, and former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i.
According to the claims circulating online, the leaders are said to have written to the anti-graft body urging it to investigate and immediately freeze the accounts of the mentioned politicians.
