A heartbroken woman has turned to social media to share her pain after allegedly finding out that her daughter was subjected to a traditional ritual involving the cutting of a finger while she was staying with her father’s side of the family... READ THE FULL STORY HERE/ WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.
In her emotional online post, the woman said she was stunned to learn that her child had been introduced into cultural practices she was not aware of and had not approved.
She explained that the incident is said to have happened during a visit the young girl made to see her father and his relatives.
According to her, the child later came back home with an injured finger, and that is when she discovered that a ritual had allegedly been performed involving finger cutting as part of a traditional practice.
The devastated mother blamed her baby daddy’s family for going ahead with the ritual without informing her or seeking her consent beforehand.
“Heartbroken mama here.
My baby went to visit her dad and got initiated into a tradition that involves cutting her finger. The worst part? Her dad's family didn't even have the decency to inform me,” she wrote.
She added that she is still emotionally overwhelmed by the situation and asked other parents online whether they have ever gone through a similar experience.
