On Thursday evening, drama unfolded in one of the apartments in Kileleshwa after a house help from Vihiga was confronted by her employer for allegedly finishing all the food that had been served on the table. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.
According to reports, the employer became angry after realizing that his wife had not yet eaten, but the food had already been consumed.
In a viral video circulating online, the employer is heard questioning the young woman on how she managed to eat two full plates of ugali and other food without considering that not everyone in the house had been served.
The employer sounded visibly upset as he tried to understand what had happened during the meal.
The house help is then heard responding in a low and apologetic voice, asking for forgiveness. She pleads with her employer and says she did not mean any harm.
She also offers to go back to the kitchen and prepare another meal for the wife so that she can also eat.
However, what made the incident even more public is that the employer’s son was recording the whole scene on video.
He later shared it on social media, where it quickly went viral. The video has since attracted mixed reactions from Kenyans online.
Some people felt the employer overreacted, while others said the house help should have been more careful and considerate in a shared household situation.
