In a shocking AI-generated viral video currently circulating across social media platforms, detectives believed to be from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations are seen allegedly storming the house of nominated senator Karen Nyamu at night before reportedly arresting her under unclear circumstances. The dramatic clip, which has left many Kenyans confused and talking online, shows heavily armed officers surrounding a luxurious home said to belong to the outspoken politician.
In the AI-generated footage, several officers are then seen escorting a woman resembling Karen Nyamu into a waiting vehicle as neighbors allegedly watch from a distance in shock.
Although the viral clip appears realistic, several Kenyans were quick to point out that the video was AI-generated and not an actual incident.
However, that did not stop thousands of social media users from flooding comment sections with reactions, jokes, and speculation over what might have happened.
Some netizens jokingly questioned whether the politician had landed in trouble with powerful individuals, while others simply expressed shock at how advanced AI-generated videos have become.
“Kwani amefanya nini tena?” one Kenyan commented.
Another user wrote:

The viral clip comes at a time when AI-generated political content has continued to trend online, with many public figures finding themselves featured in fake but highly convincing videos designed to attract attention and engagement.
Despite the growing spread of such content, neither Karen Nyamu nor the DCI has publicly addressed the viral video by the time of publishing this article.
The video has since continued spreading rapidly across TikTok, Facebook, and X, attracting thousands of views and reactions from Kenyans amused by the dramatic AI creation.
