A Kenyan lady identified as Christine (not her real name) has moved many people on TikTok after sharing an emotional video in which she alleges that a top politician lured her using an iPhone and later infected her with HIV. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.
In the clip, Christine says she was in Westlands, Nairobi, moving around while looking for a job.
She explained that she had been visiting offices and submitting her CV in hopes of securing employment when a politician allegedly stopped beside her in a car and invited her for a short ride.
She says she initially refused because her focus was on job hunting. However, she claims she later changed her mind after the politician showed her a brand new iPhone inside the vehicle.
According to her account, the politician promised to give her the phone if she agreed to enter the car. She says she eventually accepted the offer, becoming excited and temporarily abandoning her job search.
Christine further alleges that although she received the iPhone as promised, she later realized her health had deteriorated. She claims she was infected with HIV following the encounter.
She adds that she is currently in hospital, feeling weak, and emotionally distressed, saying she is tired of taking ARV medication. She also claims that when she tried to contact the politician again, his phone could no longer be reached.
Online reactions have been mixed, with many users expressing sympathy and concern, while others have urged young people to be cautious of strangers offering gifts or quick rewards.
