A Kenyan family is in deep distress after their daughter reportedly went missing under unclear circumstances at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, while preparing to return home to Kenya.
The woman, identified as Christine Akinyi, had already arrived at the airport in transit and was expected to board her connecting flight to Nairobi. However, reports indicate that she never proceeded to the departure gate as planned.
Instead, she was allegedly seen being approached and taken away by unknown individuals within the airport, after which she completely disappeared.
Her sudden disappearance only came to light when she failed to arrive in Kenya at the expected time. Family members say they immediately tried to reach her, but all calls went unanswered, and her phone later became unreachable.
Concern has now grown among relatives, who say there has been no communication from her since that moment. They fear something may have happened to her during her transit period at the busy airport.
At the time she went missing, Christine was reportedly wearing a blue-and-white patterned outfit, a black headscarf, and carrying a black bag.
The family has since launched an urgent appeal, calling on anyone who may have seen her at the airport or has any information about her whereabouts to come forward and assist in the search.
The case has sparked concern online, with Kenyans sharing her details widely in hopes of helping trace her location. Authorities in Saudi Arabia are yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
As the search continues, the family remains hopeful that she will be found safe and reunited with them soon.
