Just In: Shock as Senior Government Official is Murdered; Head, Hands, and Legs Missing

Police in Kiambu County have launched investigations after human remains were discovered in Thika East Sub-County in a disturbing incident that has left residents in fear.

The remains were found on April 10, 2026, at around 6:50 p.m. after a security officer on patrol at Delmonte Farm, Field 56, raised the alarm.

Officers who responded to the scene confirmed that the body, believed to be that of an adult, had been badly mutilated, with the head, hands, and legs missing.

Investigators suspect that the condition of the remains may have been caused by a wild animal attack, possibly involving a hyena or a similar predator. Reports indicate that several body parts had been eaten, leaving only the rib cage intact.

Due to the extent of the mutilation, authorities were unable to immediately determine the gender or identity of the deceased.

Scene of Crime officers processed the area, documenting and collecting evidence before the remains were placed in a polythene bag and transported to the city mortuary.

A post-mortem examination and DNA testing are expected to help identify the victim and establish the exact cause of death.

Police have appealed to members of the public to report any missing persons in the area to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Authorities also confirmed that they are working closely with wildlife officers as they continue to piece together what led to the tragic discovery.

The incident has heightened concerns among residents, coming amid rising cases of violent and unexplained deaths reported in different parts of the country.
