A family from Busia County is mourning the death of their daughter, Fanice Imai, who passed away while working in Saudi Arabia. The family is now asking the Kenyan government and kind-hearted people to help them bring her body back home for burial.
Unfortunately, she was buried in Saudi Arabia, a situation that has deeply saddened and devastated her relatives.
Fanice had gone abroad in search of better job opportunities and to support her family back in Kenya.
Her father said she was a loving and hardworking daughter who always cared about her family’s well-being. Through her efforts, she managed to build a nice house for her parents in Busia County.
However, the house was not yet completed when she died suddenly. Her father said Fanice had promised that she would return home and finish building it herself.
“She told us she would come back and finish the house. That was her promise,” he said.
The grieving father also said that Fanice was the main supporter of the family. He explained that she regularly sent money home and ensured the family’s needs were taken care of, making her loss even more painful.
“She was everything to us. She supported the family in every way,” he said emotionally, adding that her death has left a big emotional and financial gap.
He further shared that his daughter became ill while in Saudi Arabia before she passed away.
The family tried several times to bring her body back to Kenya for burial, but their efforts were not successful.
“We wanted to bring her home for burial, but all attempts failed,” he said sadly.
Despite everything, the father said he still hopes that one day his daughter’s body will be returned to Kenya so they can give her a proper burial.
“I believe one day my daughter will come back home so we can bury her here,” he said, adding that the family continues to pray and seek help.
