Ndio Huyu: Meet the Kikuyu Lady Who Allegedly Stole Ksh 50,000 Meant for Her Husband’s Treatment and Ksh 300,000 Raised for His Burial Before Disappearing

A family in Kiambu County has been left in deep distress after their son’s wife allegedly stole Ksh 300,000 that had been raised to support his burial and later disappeared.

The family members say they are now confused and hurt, as they do not know how they will give their loved one a proper send-off without the money.

According to reports from close relatives, this was not the first time the woman, identified as Diana Ndung’u, was involved in such an act.

Earlier, when her husband was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), friends and family came together and raised Ksh 50,000 to help pay for his treatment.

However, it is alleged that she took the money and disappeared at a time when the patient needed urgent help.

Family members say that after some time, news came that the man had passed away. Surprisingly, Diana Ndung’u returned home and presented herself as part of the organizing team.

She was even trusted with the role of treasurer, something the family now regrets deeply. They say they never expected that she could repeat the same act again.

Shockingly, the woman is said to have taken the Ksh 300,000 meant for burial arrangements and disappeared once more.

Her sudden disappearance has left the family stranded and unable to continue with burial plans. Efforts to trace her whereabouts have not been successful so far.

The incident has sparked reactions on social media, where many Kenyans have strongly criticized the woman’s actions.

Some have urged her to return the money, saying it is not right to take advantage of a grieving family.

Others have warned that such actions may bring serious consequences in the future if not corrected.
