He Has Become the Great Enemy of Odinga Family: Shock as Orengo’s Alleged Plan Since Raila’s Death Is Exposed

According to reports circulating from local political discussions, Narok Senator Ledama Olekina on Monday allegedly made strong claims suggesting that since the reported passing of Raila Odinga, Siaya Governor James Orengo has been planning something he described as “serious and worrying” within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

The remarks have sparked mixed reactions across political circles and social media.

In the statement attributed to the senator, he claimed that Governor Orengo has been strategizing on how to take over the leadership of the ODM party, which is widely associated with the Odinga family.

These claims, however, remain allegations and have not been independently verified by other political leaders or party officials.

Ledama Olekina further allegedly suggested that Orengo’s ambition for the top ODM seat did not start after Raila Odinga’s reported passing.

He claimed that there had been earlier attempts to challenge the party leadership even while Raila was still alive, but those efforts did not succeed.

He added that, according to his view, the situation after Raila’s reported passing has created a political opportunity that some leaders may be trying to use to push for control of the party.

He further claimed this could strain relationships within the party and even label some leaders as “enemies” of the Odinga political family.

However, reactions on social media show that many Kenyans have dismissed the senator’s remarks, saying they are politically motivated and not based on clear evidence.

Others have urged leaders to focus on unity within ODM rather than fueling internal divisions through allegations and speculation.
