Chaos as Notorious Gang Leader Is Hunted Down by Mob, Killed and Body Thrown Into Fire After Abusing Pregnant Woman for Several Hours Before Robbing Her

In Kitengela, Kitengela, chaos erupted after three suspected gang members were reportedly pursued by an angry mob following an attack on a pregnant woman along a public road.

According to reports, the woman was allegedly assaulted and robbed of her mobile phone, prompting distress calls for help that attracted nearby boda boda riders.

The riders reportedly mobilized quickly and chased after the suspects as they attempted to flee on a motorcycle.

Eyewitnesses said the pursuit continued until the suspects were cornered along the Kitengela–Namanga Highway. Tensions escalated further as members of the public confronted the suspects.

One of the suspects was fatally injured during the confrontation after being attacked by an angry crowd. Reports indicate that police later arrived at the scene, though the fate of the remaining two suspects was not immediately clear.

Residents said insecurity involving motorcycle-riding gangs has been a growing concern in the area, with repeated cases of robbery and harassment targeting pedestrians. Many expressed frustration over what they described as increasing criminal activity.

Community members have since called for stronger police presence and faster response to rising insecurity, warning that continued attacks could provoke more mob justice incidents.

Local leaders also urged residents to allow law enforcement agencies to handle suspects through due legal process rather than taking the law into their own hands.

Authorities are expected to continue investigations into the incident.
