"Atafute Mwanaume Amuowe," Sad as Vihiga Man Kicks His Old Sick Mother Out of His House, Throws Her Belongings Outside

In Vihiga County, a very sad incident has left residents and Kenyans online deeply shocked after a man reportedly kicked his elderly and sick mother out of his house and threw her belongings outside.

The man is said to have claimed that he could no longer live with his mother because she was lazy and not offering any help at home.

According to reports, the situation became worse when he forcefully removed her from the house, leaving her without proper care even though she is sick and old.

In a statement, the man identified as Mark Mutebi said that his father died 11 years ago. Since that time, he claimed that his mother has not made any effort to remarry or find another man to stay with, something he used as part of his explanation for his actions.

He also said that he has already found a woman he intends to marry, and because of that, there will be no space for his mother in the same house. This statement has caused a lot of debate online, with many people expressing anger and disappointment.

Mark further added that his mother is still strong enough to work and could even look for house jobs in Nairobi instead of depending on him.

This comment has been widely criticized by many Kenyans who feel it was disrespectful and heartless, especially considering her age and health condition.

However, reactions from the public are mixed. While many strongly condemned his actions and called for respect and care for parents, a few people defended him, saying he may be under pressure or facing personal struggles.

Still, the majority opinion is that no child should abandon or mistreat an elderly and sick parent, no matter the circumstances.
